And do you know what is the only thing created by the hands of man that will last forever? Not the Eiffel Tower. Not Hoover Dam. Not the Great Wall of China. Nope, the only thing ever created by the hands of mankind are the scars on the body of Jesus. You are right. I have to remind myself of this when my family and friends are going through hard times. I would like God to remove their pain quickly, but I know He has a purpose in it. It’s just hard to see loved ones suffer. We have to keep trusting that God will bring something good from the pain.

I think of all our little Samuel has gone through as well as his parents. The doctors and nurses are all watching their reactions to what God has given them in his many health issues. He is a strong little guy and I can’t wait to see how God uses him in the future. Trials help us grow both spiritually and in his case physically. When he gets older, his physical scars from his heart surgery and spinal surgery will remind Him of all the Lord brought him through.
