Heather, I'm grateful you found this devotional helpful. God is indeed good and will bring beauty from the ashes of our pain when we turn it over to Him. I praise Him that you are willing to let Him use you in the midst of your pain. I'm praying for you!

Kim, I cannot thank you enough for your daily encouraging devotionals. Although I’m in a new season and haven’t had time to keep up on your devotionals on a daily basis God has opened a new door for me, a gift, in the middle of my pain and suffering. You are right—we can’t fight our battles 24/7. God knows what we need (and what our loved ones need) and we have to lay it all down and surrender to trust Him, not just daily, but sometimes moment by moment. I am clinging to His promises, namely Jeremiah 31:16, 17 in this trial. I am grateful for the gift He’s given me in the midst of this deep pain. It will be used for His honor and glory. He is so good and His kindness is overwhelming!

Thank you, Natalie. Yes, negative thoughts towards ourselves are also a struggle. Only through the power of Christ can we be victorious. We must focus on how He sees us--forgiven, loved, and set free.

Wow! 😮 This is accurate on so many levels. This is also true when trying to forgive yourself. When you have made wrong choices and wallow in them. Depression, anxiety, bitterness towards your own self, those thoughts have to be replaced and stop dwelling on as well. Very well written (as always 😉)
