Yes, “keeping it quiet” is certainly how things have been handled in many cases, and like you said, it’s very destructive. The only way to heal and move forward is through genuine repentance and a deep heart change. May God continue to help and comfort you as you work through the pain.

I wish I had had that help when I was going through this…but we kept it quiet. The attitude from being raised in a home where my parents never even raised their voices at each other…was…things like this don’t happen to me, to my family. So we stay together and stay quiet….Now, all these years later I can see the destructive influence that was to my family and to me. It is helping me to grow now, but painfully. Thank you for putting this out.

Thank you Kimberly for Sharing this wonderful Story it is so True how as humans we can jump to conclusions but we are human so we do let’s just try to not jump to the wrong conclusion without praying for the Lord to help us to not jump to conclusions too quickly and to listen to the Holy Spirit to guide us.

Lol! It was me…I was the one “breaking in.” My aunt had asked me to let her dogs out while she was at the hospital, and I couldn’t find the key. I started thinking about how it all looked to the neighbors, and thus this devotional was born. And no one called the police on me. 🙂
