When I was working 8hr night shifts at the hospital and homeschooling two teenagers I didn’t know if I was going to make it some weeks. My husband was working in his machine shop at home and homeschooling the kids also. One day I came home from work in the morning and had to give the kids a Spanish quiz. I would say a word in English and they would write it in Spanish. There were ten words in the quiz and I had apparently fell asleep sitting straight up on the last word! My son said, “Mom we need number 10.” I jerked awake and looked at my paper and thought they were pulling a fast one. “We are on number 8”, I said, that’s the last one I remembered any way. No, he was right. He told me to tell them number ten and go to bed. I felt so bad that I was so tired I couldn’t even finish giving a quiz to my kids. My husband was a huge help during this time but he said he didn’t do Spanish. 🙂 Several years later after starting college, my son called to say “that homeschooling paid off, I just aced my English test!” The Lord gets us through with His strength, not ours.I am so thankful for that!
